Chemicals haulier Suttons renews Goodyear Tyres contract for four years09 May 2018

The agreement is an extension of a contract signed in 2015, and will involve the provision of tyres from Goodyear’s KMAX, RHT, TreadMax and Omnitrac ranges, for Suttons’ UK fleet of 380 tractor units.

As well as the provision of tyres, Goodyear also provides Suttons with support from its TruckForce network, which is made up of a combination of Goodyear Dunlop equity-owned hubs and independent service providers, offering truck tyre servicing and breakdown assistance throughout the UK.

The TruckForce service includes engineer visits to its operating depots on a regular basis to inspect the condition of tyres and carry out random pressure checks.

Suttons managing director Michael Cundy commented: “Suttons operates the largest network of chemicals, fuel and gas transportation in the UK. The reliability of our vehicles is paramount, not only to provide the best service for our customers, but also to ensure the safety of our drivers and other road users. The durability of the tyres provided by Goodyear, as well as the maintenance performed by its TruckForce team, help us to meet these commitments.”
