First oils launched under new Texaco Delo branding18 May 2018

A reformulated Texaco engine oil product is one of the first to be launched in Europe under a new Delo branding from corporate parent Chevron.

Delo 400 MGX SAE 15W-40 replaces Ursa Ultra LE SAE 15W-40 and is intended for both low- and high-sulphur diesel fuels (10-5,000 ppm). The synthetic oil is designed for mixed fleets using both on-and off-highway vehicles, to meet the performance requirements of a wide range of naturally aspirated and turbocharged four-stroke diesel engines, including low-SAPS (sulphated ash, phosphorous and sulphur) oils in diesels with emissions aftertreatment systems. Another reformulation is the Delo 400 XLE SAE 10W-30, an ACEA E6/E9 product designed for long drain with low SAPS additive for engines meeting Euro VI emissions requirements.

Among the new formulations being launched is a synthetic transmission fluid, Delo Syn-AMT XV SAE 75W-90, for heavy-duty synchronised manual truck transmissions for on-highway vehicles. This formulation is capable of long-drain capability of 450,000km or more, with low-temperature fluidity to assist with fast circulation and wear protection during cold start-up. Also new is Delo Syn ATF XV transmission fluid for applications requiring Volvo 97342 transmission fluid.

Delo replaces the Texaco master branding, and not only applies to heavy duty engine oils, across on and off highway markets, but also to several other product lines, bringing engine oils, drive train fluids, final drive fluids, greases and extended life coolants under one brand, for the first time.
