Ciceley demonstrates Mercedes-Benz Vito van for charity 20 September 2011

Take a test drive in a Mercedes-Benz Vito van an as well as helping to support a local charity, you could net a cash prize.

Dealer Ciceley Commercials, which represents Mercedes-Benz in Lancashire, Cumbria and south west Scotland, is offering drivers and owner operators the chance to get behind the wheel of a new fuel-efficient Vito at a series of public test drive events across the north-west this Friday (23 September 2011).

All in the name of charity, 'The Vito Test Drive Whistlestop Tour' will visit industrial estates in Horwich, Bolton, Wigan, Preston, Penrith and Carlisle.

A selection of vans – including a Vito Sport model – will be available at each location, and the dealership will donate £10 to the North West Air Ambulance for every test drive taken.

There's also a chance for those attending the events to pocket some cash. The test vehicles are equipped with dashboard computers, which record average fuel economy for each drive. The driver recording the highest miles per gallon on the day wins a prize of £150.

"We appreciate how difficult it is for busy people to take time out to look at a new van, even one as exciting as the new Mercedes-Benz Vito," explains Ciceley Commercials van sales manager Jonathan Ramsay.

"That's why we're bringing the vehicles to these locations, where people work. We hope as many as possible will be able to spare 15 minutes to pop out and see us," he says.
