Citroën in £2 million New Relay conversion drive 28 August 2014

Citroën is making a multi-million pound investment in its bodied light commercial vehicle stock to improve its service to smaller operators wanting tippers, dropsides and Luton vans.

The manufacturer says it is investing £2,371,700 (based on recommended basic prices) in an additional 100 ready-bodied New Relay Specialist Models.

Jeremy Smith, Citroën's head of commercial vehicles, explains that these new ready-to-roll vehicles will join the existing new LCV stock held across the Citroën Business Centre network.

Models being added throughout September include:

40 New Relay 35 L2 HDi 130 six-speed manual Tipmaster-bodied Tippers, priced at £23,735 plus VAT and delivery
30 New Relay 35 L3 HDi 130 six-speed manual Ingimex-bodied Dropside trucks at £22,440 plus VAT and delivery

30 New Relay 35 L3 HDi 130 six-speed manual Buckstone-bodied Luton vans costing £24,970 plus VAT and delivery

All will be covered by Citroën's two-year and unlimited mileage or three year and 100,000 mile factory warranty for both chassis and conversion bodywork.

New Relay Specialist Models can also be acquired on Citroën Contract Motoring (CCM) contract hire terms from £289 plus VAT per month.

"We are now putting increased emphasis on New Relay Specialist Models and Ready to Run conversions, which are increasingly in demand from our growing SME customer base." Comments Smith.

"Whether it's a New Relay Specialist Model or a Ready to Run conversion, the same high quality converters are used in every case to provide the most efficient and productive ready-bodied vehicle to suit a wide variety of transport operations."
