CitySprint sees cost savings with Paragon 12 July 2013

CitySprint says it has seen reduced operational costs and savings for its clients since implementing routing and scheduling software from Paragon.

The courier and logistics operator uses Paragon for planning delivery services throughout the UK, covering more than 2,500 daily routes, which, it sways, amounts to more than five million time-critical consignments annually involving vans, motorbikes and bicycles.

"Paragon helps us to make significant operational savings by improving our efficiency," says Emma Blackmore, national support manager at CitySprint.

"For example, we have increased daily deliveries from 800 to 1,200 for one particular customer, and we realised a 14% reduction in costs," she continues.

"These savings through efficiency improvements provide a good return on investment for the software.".

Blackmore says the system has revolutionised how he company works, by allowing representatives to respond quickly to customer quotations and to design appropriate logistics solutions.

CitySprint initially installed Paragon Multi Depot with Street Level Mapping and INRIX road speed data to help provide service improvements to businesses that would be affected by the 2012 Olympics.

The software is installed at CitySprint's data centre in Farnborough.
