Clancy Docwra extends tipper grab fleet with Loadmaster-bodied Ivecos15 April 2014

Construction industry contractor Clancy Docwra has taken delivery of six Iveco Trakker eight-wheelers, with Thompson Loadmaster bodies, as replacements for older models in its fleet.

The Harefield, Middlesex-based operator says the new additions are faster and perform better than the 07 plate models they replace.

"We see gains in lots of areas," explains Mike Revell, Clancy's group plant and transport director Mike Revell.

"On-road performance, the speed of the tipping cycle and operation of the crane and grab are all that much quicker.

"Both the products themselves and their control systems have got significantly better. All this saves time, so the truck can do more work in a day. And that's the result we want."

The latest bodies incorporate more ancillary equipment, with items such as sideguards, folding ladder, toolboxes and integral wacker carrier all designed and factory fitted by Thompsons.

"What we like about Thompsons is that they deliver a fully finished product with everything complete and the truck ready for work," adds Revell.

"Thompsons has a real ability to design and deliver a finished product where every detail and requirement has been professionally thought through and delivered."

The new tippers also have Edbro underfloor tipping gears, HMF cranes and Kinshofer grabs.
