Clancy Docwra selects MAN TGS tanker chassis19 December 2014

Construction industry contractor Clancy Docwra has taken delivery of the first of two MAN TGS 26.440 6x2-2 BL tanker chassis for use on its contract with Southern Water.

Supplied by dealer the Cordwallis Group, the second vehicle will be delivered imminently and both are supplied with three-year R&M packages.

Both vehicles are fitted with Kaiser-Whale bodywork, designed and fitted by Whale Tankers, and feature 'M' day cabs.

Clancy Docwra previously leased four MAN 6x2 rigid tankers and it was the reliability of these vehicles that prompted the latest order.

"We previously leased four six-wheelers over a period of five years, and they never missed a beat," confirms Clancy's Mike Revell.

"Reliability is absolutely crucial for us. These new vehicles will be pumping 'grey water' through the PTO anywhere between eight and ten hours every day."

He adds: "The Kaiser-Whales are ideal for the contract… They have been designed to be a multi-purpose contractor's vehicle, giving powerful jetting and sewer cleaning capability."
