Glass repair business National Windscreens (South East) is implementing an on-board camera system in its van fleet to cut costs and reduce the risk of fraudulent claims – and says it has already been able to challenge two claims.

The solution, from Intelligent Telematics, incorporates forward-facing cameras to capture high-definition footage and provide evidence for any collisions or harsh driving events.

The company is anticipating significant cost savings from reduced insurance claims and improved driver behaviour.

Dave Quarterman, managing director of National Windscreen (South East), says the cameras help the business to protect its engineers, as well as avoid unnecessary insurance costs.

"Since installing the solution, we have already successfully challenged two claims by proving what actually took place," says Quarterman.
