Clubvan hopes to be more than a mini success at CV Show 17 December 2012

MINI has confirmed its intention to showcase the Clubvan vehicle at next year's CV Show.

Representing the popular car brand's first entry into the CV market, the Clubvan has been commended, according to MINI, for "delivering style, efficiency and class-leading driving dynamics and fuel efficiency levels not usually found in light commercial vehicles".

"We are delighted that the MINI Clubvan will be there at the 2013 International Commercial Vehicle Show," says James Morrison, corporate marketing manager for MINI UK.

"We are looking forward to showing how the Clubvan combines both the practicality of an 860-litre load capacity with premium features already familiar to existing MINI customers. The MINI Clubvan offers commercial customers both style and substance on the road."

Outgoing SMMT chief executive Paul Everitt comments: "This is great news for the industry in general and the CV Show in particular. The changes we are seeing in today's commercial vehicle industry are borne out of necessity."

And he adds: "To have the commitment of exhibitors that range from small delivery specialists to those capable of moving exceptionally large loads shows, beyond a shadow of a doubt, just how far the industry has come in a relatively short space of time."

The Commercial Vehicle Show is owned by the CV Show LLP comprising the Road Haulage Association, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and IRTE Services, the trading company of the SOE (Society of Operations Engineers).

The 2013 CV Show will take place at the NEC in Birmingham from 9—11 April next year.
