Coach operators rate Scania as supplier of choice04 April 2016

Scania Coaches has announced two more deals, with both operators citing Scania as the supplier of choice.

Hallmark Connections, part of the Rotala Group, has taken delivery of three new Scania OmniExpress ‘Finesse’ limited edition coaches (pictured), based on the Euro 6 Scania K 410 chassis.

Features include 53 half-leather passenger seats, centre sunken toilet, hot drinks machine, DVD and two monitors, satellite navigation system and Xenon headlights.

Hallmark’s managing director Antony Goozee says previous experience with three Scania Irizar coaches, delivered in 2013, prompted his decision.

Elsewhere, Wolverhampton-based Platinum Express has purchased a new Scania Touring 12.1m coach, with full executive specification.

Like Hallmark, Platinum says Scania seemed an obvious choice. “We looked at every option available on the market and time and time again kept coming back to the Scania Touring,” says managing director Daniel Caddick.

The vehicle is equipped with 49 Kiel reclining seats, three-point seatbelts, centre sunken toilet, drinks machine, DVD player and two monitors and Durabright alloy wheels.
