If you want to get your hands on Euro-6 trucks and hear from a leading operator about what Euro 6 is like in the real world, you might want to put Commercial Motor Live in your diary.

The second annual event takes place on 2—3 October at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedford.

There will be trucks from DAF, Gulliver's Truck Hire, Isuzu, Iveco, Mercedes-Benz, Renault Trucks, Scania and Volvo to test drive on the facility's test tracks.

Fiat Professional will also have its vans available for ride and drive, while Iveco, Mercedes-Benz, Scania and Volvo plan to have tippers for putting through their paces on the off-road course.

Motor Transport Haulier of the Year Elddis Transport (Consett) will be one of the highlights of the event's seminar programme. Managing director Nigel Cook says he will reveal the challenges of running Euro 6 trucks on UK roads.

Other topics to be debated include cycle safety, quiet deliveries, fuel efficiency, hybrid drivelines, and transport law. And Commercial Motor Live also features an exhibition with more than 30 suppliers.
