Quinton, skip hire firm gets new MAN kit 08 January 2010

Expect to see Quinton Tyres' new MAN TGX 360bhp three axle rigid patrolling the north west in the months to come; the Manchester-based tyre supplier has invested in the new vehicle to collect and distribute built-up wheel assemblies from bus operators in the region.

Complete with an XLX cab, TipMatic transmission and demount bodywork, the truck was chosen in large part so that Quniton could benefit from MAN's onboard telematics system, which helps save fuel.

Elsewhere, MAN has supplied recycler and skip hire firm Williams & Williams with a MAN 8x4 draw-bar rig that will be used for bulk recycling work. The TGS 35.440 8x4 truck has Multi-Lift roll-on-off bodywork and can either pull a Cauldswell tri-axle skip-trailer or run solo.
