AA DriveTech wins TfL’s FORS assessment contract09 June 2010

Transport for London (TfL) has appointed AA DriveTech to manage the initial bronze assessment process for the Freight Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) in London.

FORS is London's free membership scheme that aims to improve freight delivery and sustainability. It is free, voluntary and open to operators of all forms of commercial vehicle, from vans to articulated trucks.

Jason Vallint, development director at AA DriveTech, says that FORS will provide a foundation for best practice in freight delivery.

"The assessment process for potential FORS members is an integral part of the scheme," says Vallint. "We are completely supportive of TfL's real commitment to drive up standards across the Capital's freight industry," he adds.

FORS applicants will get help from AA DriveTech in terms of fleet audits, risk assessments and fleet advisory services across the freight sector.
