As well as the 24 team buses taking players around the 10 host cities, Continental’s specially designed tyres will also run on 20 VIP buses provided by private transport companies.
The tyre is based on the Conti CityPlus HA3 tyre for regional transportation, and was developed by the manufacturer’s engineers in Germany especially for this occasion.
“The sophisticated performance properties and high level of reliability of Conti Goal HA3 will ensure that the 24 teams enjoy safe and comfortable travel,” says Geert Roik, head of R&D for commercial vehicle tyres.
“What distinguishes the Conti Goal HA3 tyres from the basic Conti CityPlus HA3 product line are the numerous football pictograms in different sizes, the official logo of UEFA Euro 2016 and the orange Continental logo on the newly designed side walls.”
Continental’s FleetPartner network will provide service and maintenance support throughout the tournament, which runs until 10 July.
