Council cleans up with more Stertil Koni mobile column lifts24 May 2019

Denbighshire County Council has acquired a second set of mobile column lifts, from Stertil Koni, to support a new washbay facility at its Kinmel Park depot in Bodelwyddan.

Each of the ST1075FSA columns provides a lifting capacity of 7.5 tonnes; when used as a set of four, the combined capacity of 30 tonnes ensures complete safety when dealing with vehicles such as road sweepers and gritters, plus two- and three-axle RCVs weighing up to 26 tonnes.

“We find that the versatility of the lifts ensures excellent accessibility while steamcleaning vehicles without needing to climb up and down ramps – a real health and safety benefit for our washbay operatives,” says Mark Crompton, workshop manager.

Each column incorporates the ebright smart control system, with colour touchscreens, allowing columns to be operated individually, in pairs or in any other configuration. Maximum lifting height is 1.85m and this is reached in 75 seconds.

The lifts were also supplied with a set of heavy-duty washbay covers.

“We’ve used Stertil Koni mobile column lifts for a few years and they’ve never let us down,” says Crompton.
