Courier business signs for expanded Ctrack solution03 April 2019

Courier business JMHC Logistics has expanded its Ctrack telematics solution, fitting tracking technology to an additional 150 vans used for last-mile deliveries.

The operator has been using Ctrack for four years, after selecting the system for its ability to incorporate extra security features to mitigate the risk of vehicle theft. The supplier developed bespoke immobilisation to prevent unauthorised vehicle movements or attempted thefts during delivery rounds.

“We are committed to operating to a high standard – in line with the Van Excellence Code – so we need an advanced vehicle tracking system that improves fleet safety, efficiency and compliance,” says Rebecca Hall, director of the Tadcaster, North Yorkshire-based business.

“We have worked closely with Ctrack to develop a bespoke solution, incorporating vehicle immobilisation, so we are best-placed to protect our drivers, assets and reputation. In fact, on one occasion we were able to respond within minutes to reach and assist a driver who had been assaulted as well as safely recover the tracked van.”

JMHC has access to a range of reports covering driver behaviour, speeding, working hours and fuel performance. Ctrack Online is used centrally from the Tadcaster head office, as well as by supervisors at 23 sites across the UK.

“We have found Ctrack Online to be the best telematics systems on the market, which is providing us with multiple business and operational benefits,” adds Hall.
