Cranage loads versatility with Sterling-bodied Scania01 August 2018

Heavy haulier Cranage Haulage has taken delivery of a Scania 8x2 New Generation G450 cab chassis, fitted with a bespoke plant body and beavertail, by Sterling.

The Cheshire-based operator worked with Sterling on the specification, which features cheese-wedge ramps providing a flat deck for fixed loads but a loading angle to take plant and machinery.

The ramps are fitted with rail tracks to maximise load versatility, and feature edge protection to minimise risk from working at height when loading or unloading.

The vehicle is also specified with a Brigade four-way camera system and side scanner.

The chassis was supplied by Scania dealer Haydock Commercials and is the second Sterling-bodied vehicle on the Cranage fleet with a third now on order.
