Cranleigh Freight expands fleet with four new Volvos25 January 2019

Cranleigh Freight Services has taken delivery of its first new Volvo trucks in ten years, with the arrival of four Volvo FH-460 4x2 tractors.

Supplied by dealer MC Truck & Bus, the vehicles are on a three-year contract from the dealer’s sister company MC Rental. The Globetrotter XL-cabbed tractors have rear air suspension as standard, and are transporting conference, exhibition and motorsport equipment to and from events on the continent.

Each has a Volvo 12.8-litre D13K460 diesel engine providing 454bhp and driving through a 12-speed I-Shift automated gearbox.

The tractor units are supplied with full airflow packages, including roof and side air deflectors plus chassis skirts.

“In the past we have acquired many trucks for our fleet from MC Rental and they have always provided us with an excellent service, so we had no qualms confirming this four-tractor unit deal with them for the latest fleet addition programme,” says Graham Young, managing director at the Surrey-based operator.
