CSG celebrates driver apprentice success13 August 2018

Waste management business CSG is reporting HGV driver apprentice success at its Aylesford, Kent site.

The company operates more than 20 waste handling facilities around the UK, and says the apprentice scheme at the Kent site is proving particularly successful.

The apprenticeship is part of a wider training programme, where individuals gain their full LGV licence, along with key skills and knowledge about drainage, waste management and health and safety. At the end of the apprenticeship, individuals can be expected to be employed as a full-time driver.

Adam Brooks, 25, Carl Rhodes, 28, Kane Scott, 23 (pictured, left to right), and Liam Newman, 20, have completed or are part-way through their HGV driver apprenticeships. All are looking forward to careers with CSG.

Tara Crump, CSG’s regional manager, said: “We are really proud of our HGV driver apprentices. They form an important part of our team, helping our business to grow and allowing us to plan for the future.”
