CV Show 2012 boosted by more exhibitors and larger stands08 December 2011

With over 200 exhibitors already confirmed, launches promised and 49% more space booked to date than at this point last year, CV Show 2012 looks set to be a must-go event for transport engineers and fleet managers.

"The commercial vehicle industry has bounced back from recession with vigour, a fact spelled out by the early enthusiasm for the 2012 Show," enthuses Paul Everitt, SMMT chief executive.

"The number of exhibitors already signed-up demonstrates the sector's commitment to drive through economic uncertainty, delivering even more efficient and capable vehicles, products and services to the UK's CV buyers," he adds.

Major vehicle manufacturers have committed to the CV Show, with Ford, Isuzu, MAN, Mercedes and Vauxhall among big names set to wow the crowds with the latest metal.

Additionally, the likes of Ashwoods Automotive and Webasto will represent hybrid and component manufacturers, while Ingimex and Tevo form part of the broad range of bodybuilder and storage solution companies set to exhibit from 24 to 26 April 2012.

Commenting on the prospects for next year's CV Show 2012, Steve Clary, commercial vehicles director for Ford of Britain, says: "2012 is a very important year for Ford's commercial vehicle operations and the expanded stand we will have at the CV Show reflects this.

"The UK LCV market is extremely important to us and, as market leader for the past 46 years, the UK-based Show gives us the perfect platform to get closer to existing and potential customers."

The buzz around the CV Show also extends to the aftermarket-focused 'Workshop 2012', which boasts big names and innovative products from companies such as Cobra and Ring Automotive.
