CV Show bookings ‘reflect wider economic improvement’ - RHA06 March 2014

With eight weeks to go until doors open at the Commercial Vehicle Show, the Road Haulage Association (RHA) says the event's increased size is an important signal of the wider economic recovery.

Exhibitor space is already up on the 2013 show, at more than 31,000 sq m. "We have always said that the success of the UK's road transport and logistics industry is an accurate indicator as to the health of the rest of the economy," says Geoff Dunning, RHA chief executive.

"On that basis, there can be no doubt that the economy is finally well on the road to recovery."

The RHA is a show partner – with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, and the SOE's IRTE – and will be using the event to promote its work on issues such as load securing, training, and haulage company systems and procedures.

The CV Show takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, from 29 April to 1 May.
