All four of F&G Commercials’ full-service sites in the north of England – in Manchester, Barnsley, Huddersfield and Oldham – have taken on the Motus Commercials name, as well as the F&G accident repair site, in Barnsley.
The bodybuilding operation has also been transferred to Motus Vehicle Solutions, a sister division of Motus Commercials.
Matthew Lawrenson, managing director of Motus Commercials, says it will be business as usual, with “the same locations, the same services and the same people”, adding: “It just makes sense now that we change the name of the F&G Commercials business to bring it in line with the Motus Commercials brand.”
Motus Commercials is the largest DAF dealer group in the UK and Europe. It also has a network of Ford, VW, Isuzu, Fiat and LDV van and light commercials sites. There are now 29 Motus-operated DAF sites in the UK.
