DAF Transport Efficiency new theme for 2015 CV Show 18 February 2015

The big theme for DAF Trucks at this year’s CV Show (14—16 April 2015, NEC, Birmingham) will be bearing down on operating costs, under the banner new ‘DAF Transport Efficiency’.

In fact, DAF describes this as a programme – a raft of product features and services specifically aimed at delivering tangible cost savings.

Product developments and enhancements making their UK show debut will include: Eco Mode now as standard; Silent Mode (on CF and XF Silent models); Predictive Cruise Control; Predictive Shifting; Advanced Emergency Braking System; Lane Departure Warning System; MX engine brake; and Driver Performance Assistant.

DAF says that visitors to its stand will find out how these truck upgrades can boost both productivity and safety, but adds that and fleet's whole life costs are also affected by aftersales support.

And that's where its DAFaid, DAF MultiSupport R&M packages, DAF Parts, Paccar Finance and DAF Telematics come in – which are also now part of the 'DAF Transport Efficiency' programme.

As for the trucks themselves, across the internal stand, visitors will be able to see: a CF 440 FTG Space Cab with the new Euro 6 Paccar MX-11 at 440bhp; an XF 510 FTM Super Space Cab 150-tonne top-of-the-range 8x4 tractor; a construction CF 440 FAD with Day Cab; and an LF 180 FA Day Cab 7.5-tonner with DAF's Aerobody.

Then externally, there will also be; an XF 510 FT Super Space Cab 4x2 premium duty tractor with the Euro 6 Paccar MX-13 at 510bhp; an 18-tonne Construction LF 280 FA with Day Cab; a CF 400 FT Sleeper Cab 4x2 to DAF's fleet tractor specification; and a CF 440 FAD Day Cab 8x4 tipper chassis with the MX-11 at 440bhp and on/off-road software.
