Commemorating its founder Hub van Doorne, DAF’s anniversary edition is available as a 6x2 tractor (FTG) for the UK and Ireland, and a 4x2 tractor (FT) for continental Europe.
It comes with a premium option package, exclusive striping and other exterior design elements. It also comes with air-suspended Super Space Cab and top-of-the-range 523bhp MX-13 engine.
Available in three metallic colours – Anniversary Black, Rouge Flamme or Jamaica Blue – the vehicle has a handcrafted version of DAF’s historic logo on the front of the truck, as well as on the sides and back of the cab.
The premium spec includes LED headlights, skylights, fog and cornering lights, a roof air deflector with side collars, side skirts (4x2) and Alcoa aluminium wheels. Air horns are mounted on the cab roof.
Inside, the ‘Exclusive’ trim includes full leather seats, leather armrests and door panels and a leather finish on the steering wheel, along with climate control, a roof-mounted parking cooler, TruckPhone, a microwave, refrigerator under the lower bunk and the DAF Night Lock are all included.
Each truck buyer will also receive a numbered, luxury gift set including leather travel bag, jacket, Waterman pen, credit card wallet and a 90th anniversary edition sketch signed by DAF’s chief designer Bart van Lotringen.
