Dalton Transport orders premium spec MAN TGX at CV Show19 May 2017

Family-owned haulier Dalton Transport & Storage is awaiting delivery of a flagship MAN TGX, after ordering the vehicle at the Commercial Vehicle Show last month.

Nigel Wilson, owner of the Thirsk-based operator, was sent a picture of the vehicle as it was being prepared for the event – and was immediately struck by the blue livery, which matched his own fleet.

Wilson says the firm was in the market for a new TGX when Mike Kavanagh, MAN sales executive, texted him with the photograph. “Our fleet colour is blue and we had looked at the metallic paint, but when we saw this one with a bit of bling on it, we were very excited.

“Seeing it at the show was fantastic and we were very impressed with the look of the vehicle and the size of the cab.

The MAN TGX 26.640 PerformanceLine tractor has a 15.2-litre engine producing 640bhp at 1,800 rpm, and the premium cab spec includes an XXL sleeper with twin bunks, chrome lights and leather interior.

The vehicle will join Dalton’s ten-strong fleet, six of which are MAN.
