Dalziel Mechanical Services on track with Ctrack Online16 December 2014

Construction service provider Dalziel Mechanical Services is rolling out the Ctrack vehicle tracking solution across its fleet, in a bid to improve efficiency and security, and reduce operating costs.

The Newmains, Lanarkshire-based operator will use Ctrack Online, a web-based tracking tool, across its van fleet used to transport engineering teams to and from customer sites in and around central Scotland.

Ctrack Online is replacing an existing system that was failing to meet Dalziel's needs, in terms of live tracking and reporting.

It will be used, says Dalziel, to help improve driving style, as well as to identify unauthorised or out-of-hours private mileage to comply with HMRC requirements and reduce unnecessary operating costs.

"Ctrack Online will provide an effective means of tracking our fleet, so we can see where all our vehicles are at any one time," says Jamie Delaney, Dalziel's managing director.

"This will not only help improve health and safety and duty of care, but also contribute to a reduction in fuel usage, streamlined administrative processes and enhanced customer service."
