The firm has acquired 50 panel vans – a mix of medium and long-wheelbases vehicles – plus 25 chassis cabs with tipper bodies, 15 of which were specified with Iveco's factory-built seven-man crew cab.
"The New Daily is a quality vehicle and we were eager to introduce the International Van of the Year 2015 to our fleet," comments Mike McCarry, rental director for Day's Rental.
"We take pride in having a light commercial vehicle available for every eventuality," he continues.
"New Daily has given us precisely the flexibility we needed, with a high-end specification that will appeal to customers and give them another reason to hire from us."
The New Daily, Iveco's third-generation LCV, has retained its tough ladder-frame chassis structure, for strength and flexibility, and is renowned for delivering long-term durability. The third generation adds refinements that put it in the world-class league.
"We specify our vehicles to maximise our return on investment, and these New Dailys have been specified with cruise control and parking sensors as standard," comments McCarry.
"This not only means our customers benefit from one of the highest specification rental vehicles in their class, [but] we are also confident New Daily will hold its value when the time comes to replace them."
And he adds: "There's no denying Iveco has built a class-leading product: our customers are seeing impressive fuel returns, despite the vehicles only just starting to enter service. What's more, they are also delivering a whole new level of comfort to the drivers too."
Day's Rental now operates in excess of 6,000 commercial vehicles on its dedicated Rental fleet and expects each of the New Dailys to undertake a minimum of 20,000 miles a year.
