Dennis Eagle assured of StaySafe benefits20 July 2017

Vehicle manufacturer Dennis Eagle is using the StaySafe app to monitor and protect its mobile engineers.

The refuse collection vehicle maker already had a lone worker policy in place, but decided a better practical solution was needed to check engineer safety and provide them with a means to signal for help.

StaySafe was rolled out to engineers across the UK, with a check-in interval of one hour. Failure to check-in will notify all service managers within the Hub, so they can activate response procedures.

Man-down alerts have also been activated: these send a notification to the Hub if a period of non-movement is detected.

“For us, the check-in and man-down features are great as many of our employees are working in high risk areas,” says Richard Young, health and safety manager at Dennis Eagle.

“We know that if they suffer an accident they may not be conscious or able to signal for help, but now we can rest assured that StaySafe is able to do that for them.”
