Dennis Eagle opens doors to new Leeds service centre06 March 2018

Refuse collection vehicle manufacturer Dennis Eagle is holding an open day on 22 March to mark the official opening of its new Leeds service centre.

The manufacturer has relocated the centre to a larger site at Gildersome Spur, which features a workshop, parts warehouse, training facility and offices.

It will offer MOTs, servicing and inspections, vehicle preparation and presentation, body and chassis refurbishment and defect clearance. Parts will be available for same- or next-day delivery.

At the opening event, which begins at 10am, visitors will be able to see some of the latest products from Dennis Eagle and Terberg Matec UK, as well as live demonstrations of the DennisConnect telematics system.

Service centre manager Gary McLauchlan comments: “The workshop area at our new site is around one third larger than at our previous facility, while our office space has almost doubled in size. This will provide us with greater capacity, enabling us to deliver an enhanced service to our customers.

“We currently employ 15 members of staff, but hope that the relocation will give us the opportunity to expand our workforce over the coming months, to include taking on more apprentices.”

The previous Leeds centre was at the Whitehall Industrial Estate for 15 years: last year, it was the first of Dennis Eagle’s sites to take delivery of the new Olympus Twin Pack body, which it retrofitted to a customer’s existing chassis.
