DIBS Distribution puts Burnt Tree Mercedes on the menu 18 July 2014

Fast food logistics firm DIBS Distribution, which serves the chicken restaurants market nationally, has chosen Burnt Tree for its latest vehicle acquisition – a new Mercedes Ategos 1622 16-tonne rigid on a five year contract hire deal.

Fitted to a high specification, the new vehicle has a Solomons multi-temperature refrigerated box body with Carrier Transicold Supra refrigeration system. It has also been equipped with CCTV cameras and alarm systems.

"Until we started looking for a replacement vehicle, we had never really associated Burnt Tree with refrigerated trucks," comments Toby Payne, transport director at the Middlesex based operator.

"However, with Burnt Tree's recent move into temperature controlled vehicles ... we decided to switch our transport fleet provider to Burnt Tree on this occasion," he continues.

"Although it is early days, we are extremely pleased with the support we have from Burnt Tree and their detailed approach to our business is first class."

DIBS Distribution is a family run business with its head office in Isleworth, Middlesex and the new Mercedes-Benz Atego is part of its 16 strong national truck fleet.

This latest vehicle will be covering more than 80,000km per annum, covering daily and overnight deliveries.
