DPF reconditioning specialist joins FTA Van Excellence23 April 2015

DPF (diesel particulate filter) reconditioning specialist DPF Clean Team has been accredited to the FTA (Freight Transport Association) Van Excellence scheme.

The certification means that van fleet operators can now have their DPFs and SCR (selective catalytic reduction) filters cleaned for a fraction of the cost of replacement parts – and by a Van Excellence partner.

The company states that the average price of a new DPF unit for MAN, Volvo and Iveco Trucks is £5,000, compared with the cost of cleaning a unit, which is £450.

"What really struck us about DPF Clean Team was their knowledge, both in terms of technical understanding and industry awareness," comments Mark Cartwright, head of vans and LCVs.

"We spoke to a number of their customers, and the feedback was incredibly positive – something we really value in a recognised partner."

The Van Excellence Recognised Partner scheme encourages collaboration between automotive suppliers and the FTA.
