Dragons’ den awaits CV Show Make-It challenge students 26 February 2016

CV Show partners IRTE (Institute of Road Transport Engineers), RHA (Road Haulage Association) and SMMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) will be hosting the Make It Challenge at this year’s exhibition (NEC, 26—28 April 2016).

Following last year’s single-day event, this 2016 challenge will run on every day of the show, and will give 140 12—14 year old students the chance to see what makes the transport industry tick – particularly around safety, efficiency and telematics.

Following a tour of the halls, the students will be tasked with designing, building and selling their idea to a team of industry ‘dragons’.

Chief dragon will be Ian Jones of specialist transport solicitor Backhouse Jones, assisted by all party freight group chair Rob Flello MP, Microlise managing director Bob Harbey and Freightlink and She’s RHA founder Lesley O’Brien.

Other dragons will include: Horsepower Training executive director Jan Carter; Iveco communications director Nigel Emms; and RHA chief executive Richard Burnett.
