Drivers Direct logistics division adds nine Renault trucks 20 January 2016

Drivers Direct has added a further nine Renault trucks to its logistics division, launched just six months ago to cope with growing demand – bringing the fleet to more than 20 HGVs.

The Royton, near Oldham, firm, which provides temporary and permanent professional drivers to the transport and distribution sector, now offers what managing director Gethin Roberts describes as “a complete logistics solution of vehicles and LGV drivers” to the industry.

Roberts went for Renault Range T premium 6x2 day cabbed tractor units plated to 44 tonnes, selecting with the 460bhp DTI 11-litre engine.

Roberts says he’s delighted with the first six months of trading. “The new division is an important step forward for the business as it helps us offer a complete logistics package and service the demand for our clients,” he adds.
