DVSA has published a guide to joining the pilot of its Earned Recognition programme (link is below).

The scheme, it says, is a new way to prove you meet driver and vehicle standards, adding: “You regularly share performance information with DVSA. In return, your vehicles are less likely to be stopped for inspections.”

The agency is looking for fleet operators “with a history of compliance” to join the pilot, and in return is offering help and advice about the process, support that will be withdrawn once the scheme goes live to industry.

As part of this, DVSA has also published, for the first time, lists of approved Earned Recognition auditors, and approved software packages to use with the pilot.

Auditors include: A S Miles Consulting, ACT Control Solutions, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Dave Robbins Transport Consultants, Freight Transport Association, Invergold Associates , Labyrinth Logistics Consulting (Silkthread), Lloyd Morgan Group, Novadata, Prompt Training, Road Haulage Association, Transultant.

IT systems listed include: Aquarius IT, Asset Works, Blue Crystal Solutions, CheckedSafe, Chevin Fleet, Continental, Contract Vehicles, DAF Trucks (Connect), DAF Trucks (DAFcheck), Descartes, Distinctive Systems, Don't Travel Empty, Fleet Check, Freeway Fleet Systems, FTA, Jaama, Novadata, r2c, Road Tech Computer Systems, Stoneridge Electronics, TDI, TMS (Analysis), Truckfile, TruTac, Wirral Tachograph .
