Dyce Carriers goes for flexible finance with New Actros 24 March 2014

Aberdeen-based haulage firm Dyce Carriers, which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, has taken delivery of five Mercedes-Benz New Actros tractor units, all with range-topping GigaSpace cabs.

All are 2551 models powered by 510bhp straight-six engines driving through the latest Mercedes PowerShift automated transmissions.

"We've had Actros tractors in the past and they've been good solid performers," comments Managing Director Jason Moir.

For him, rfecent investments made by local dealer Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles Aberdeen provided the reassurance needed of high quality back-up.

"The dealer has given us all the assurances we could ask for about the level of service we'll receive," says Moir.

And he continues: "Our decisions on vehicle acquisitions are also heavily influenced by factors like value for money and image. The Mercedes-Benz Agility finance is very flexible and the rates highly competitive."

Agility works like conventional hire purchase, with a guaranteed future value, but also gives operators extra options at the end of the term – including paying off the final lump sum, using the vehicle in part exchange or returning it.
