Eagle ambulances soar on Renault Trucks Masters 09 December 2015

Ambulance and specialist vehicles converter Eagle International has converted a fleet of Renault Trucks Master L3H2 125.35 panel vans for healthcare operators in the UK and worldwide.

“We prefer the build quality of the Master van,” explains Eagle managing director Jonathan Munro Ford.

“It is a very durable base vehicle for our conversions, with little touches making the difference,” he continues.

“The cab is ergonomically-designed, so it’s comfortable and easy to drive, and this means that the crews suffer from less fatigue during their working shift.”

For Munro Ford, however, support from Renault Trucks has also been a factor, with the technical and homologations teams particularly helpful.

“[They have] also helped us to keep our logistics costs down by shipping direct to our manufacturing facility in Ourense, Spain,” he says.

“Business is buoyant, so the Renault Trucks’ lead time of just eight weeks, and the fact that we have stock vehicles sitting in our factory, ready for conversion, is good for us, too.”

Several Renaul Masters have now been converted to Eagle International’s front line A&E specification, with blue-light and siren systems and painted Ambulance yellow with diamond-grade retro reflective livery.

Internally, the Master van A&E ambulances have been fitted out to offering a functional environment with flexible storage space for emergency and life-saving equipment.

Eagle has also recently converted a Renault Masters for patient transport operations. A mix of right and left hand vehicles, these ambulances are already in service in the UK and abroad, says Munro Ford.

All Eagle’s Renault Trucks’ were supplied by approved dealer Sparks Commercials Southampton.
