The 12.9m i6S has a DAF 402bhp MX-11300 engine driving through a ZF EcoLife automatic transmission.
It joins a 10-strong fleet operating on varied services, from school runs to continental tours.
The 57-seater also has a centre toilet, drinks machine, seatback tables, USB sockets and a Bosch Smart Series audio system.
Safety features include AEBS, lane departure warning and automatic cruise control. The driver and courier seats are finished in leather.
As well as being a special edition vehicle for the maker’s anniversary, Earnside chose the i6S – its third Irizar Integral – to mark its own milestone of 50 years in business.
“We took our first Irizar Integral, an i6, in 2014, and it proved to be very reliable,” says Gary Rutherford, director for Earnside.
“We put our second on the road last year and there have been no dramas with it since. We like the DAF-ZF driveline. The i6S is more modern looking and has a few more bells and whistles,” he says, adding that the latest addition brings the fleet to 80% Euro VI.
The vehicle is expected to remain in service for five years, initially on European operations.
