End of the line for petrol Transit, says Ford 07 March 2011

Ford has announced that it is ceasing production of the petrol-powered Ford Transit van on 27 May 2011.

The petrol Transit forms the basis of the successful Ashwoods conversion, which means that anyone interested in an Ashwoods LPG Transit will have to act fast.

The vehicle conversion specialist has revealed that, due to lead times, all vehicles must be ordered by 11 March 2011 to avoid disappointment.

"We have seen a huge rise in interest in our LPG vans following the tightening of restrictions in the London Low Emission Zone," says Mark Roberts, managing director of Ashwoods Automotive.

"However, with the production of the petrol Transit coming to an end, companies wanting a brand new LPG Transit have to act now."

Ashwoods LPG Transits are available from £16,325.17 plus VAT, registration and Road Fund Licence. Retro-fit conversions are also available.
