‘Exceptional’ Bevan Group builds 160-strong order for DX Group06 August 2019

Parcel delivery and logistics business DX Group has taken delivery of 160 new trucks, based on the 7.5-tonne MAN TGL chassis and with box bodies by Bevan Group.

The Bevan21 bodies have aerodynamic, curved roofs, and the 1,000kg tuckaway tail-lifts are by DEL.

These are the first trucks to sport the DX Group’s new livery, which was applied by Bevan’s graphics depot division.

DX Group fleet and compliance director Darren Bell – who joined the Slough-based operator last year – says Bevan Group “surpassed all expectations” for speed and efficiency on the 160-vehicle project.

“The order covered a substantial number of vehicles, but Bevan Group committed to a tight, eight-week production schedule, which it then met. It also did so without prejudicing quality, as the bodies are clearly built to a very high standard,” says Bell.

Bevan has been building bodies for DX Group for many years, and its graphics depot team has applied livery for the last six years.

“Here, too, Bevan Group’s service was exceptional,” says Bell. “The quality of the finish is first class and our new livery looks great, while the fact that we don’t have to send the vehicles to another supplier to get the decals done also contributes to the fast turnarounds.”

Bevan’s aftercare response division is maintaining the box bodies and tail-lifts.
