Extra Hyva-Renault hookloader for Central Demolition 07 March 2013

Central Demolition has added another Hyva hookloader to its fleet, mounted on a 430bhp Renault Premium Lander 8x4 chassis.

Specified to pull a drawbar trailer up to 44 tonnes, the Hyva/Renault hookloader combination has been designed to provide Central with extra versatility.

"Both the truck chassis and the Hyva bodywork are robust, uncomplicated and well thought out designs that are practical, safe and easy to operate," comments company director Ross Craig.

And he adds that the drawbar not only maximises the truck's payload potential and productivity, but also allows the vehicles to operate further away from base.

Not needing to return so often to tip out greatly increases vehicle operating range, thereby enabling Central to reach more customers than ever," he says.

Employed on the company's demolition, earthworks, plant hire, waste management and recycling activities, the new truck joins a fleet where Hyva skiploaders and hookloaders have found particular favour.

Craig believes that, with hydraulic, rather than electric, operation, the Hyva equipment offers improved performance, particularly in wet, adverse weather conditions or sub-zero temperatures.
