Farid acquires Heil Europe for RCVs and tankers 01 February 2013

Farid European Group, one of Europe's fastest growing RCV (refuse collection vehicle) and tanker producers, has acquired Heil Europe.

The company purchases, through Farid European Group's subsidiary Farid UK, is being positioned as strengthening the company in the UK and across Europe, as well as broadening its RCV range and service.

Farid has restructured in the UK, appointed new management and says it is now focused on providing the right mix of RCVs and tankers (Farid RCVs and Moro tankers).

The Heil line of RCVs, universal lifts and replacement parts – including HalfPack, BigBite, TwinTrack, Powerlink and Powertrak – are included in the sale, along with the manufacturing plant in Hillend, Scotland.

In addition to an extended vehicle and product range, fleet managers will also have access to a much larger after sales service team dedicated to waste management.

Farid will continue to operate at both of its UK sites, with manufacturing and assembly remaining in Hillend. Farid's base at Arundel, West Sussex will also remain.
