First Euro 6 tractor heads to Norbert Dentressangle 10 February 2012

Norbert Dentressangle has taken delivery of the first road tractor unit to meet the Euro 6 standard, two years before the it come into force.

The Mercedes-Benz Actros has a BlueTec 6 engine, which reduces particle emissions by 50% and nitrogen oxide emissions by 77%, compared to current Euro 5 heavy truck engines.

Due to its policy of regularly updating its vehicles, Norbert Dentressangle lays claim to Europe's cleanest fleet, with 90% of its trucks meeting Euro 4 or 5 standards.

The company also currently operates three diesel-electric hybrid commercial vehicles – two 19-tonne Renault trucks and one 12-tonne Mercedes truck.
