Greg White, director of White’s, says the acquisition is to mark the operator’s 60th anniversary next year.
He adds: “We believe the Irizar i8 Integral is the pinnacle of the industry, and we are delighted to be the first operator in the UK to order a two-axle, 12.4m version.
“As with all our vehicles, our focus is to provide the very best travel experience for all our clients, and as such we are happy to have fewer seats and more space for each passenger.
“The i8 Integral with 44 seats, WC and servery will provide all of these things and a whole lot more.”
White’s i8 Integral will be powered by a DAF MX-11 330, 443bhp engine, driving through a ZF EcoLife automatic transmission.
Interior features will include a centre toilet, wood-effect floor, seatback tables, multi-position footrests and three-point seatbelts. Bosch audio and visual entertainment systems will be fitted. A servery will be installed by AD Coach Systems.
