BT’s fleet management company Fleet Solutions has opened a new HGV garage in Coryton, Cardiff. The site offers general repairs and servicing and MOT tests for vans under 3.5 tonne.

The new HGV capability has been added to the Cardiff garage by refitting another BT building. The move means the company can now service and support fleets with HGVs (it also carries out general repairs to motorcycles and passenger cars).

Managing director of BT Fleet Solutions, Henry Brace commented: “We want to be a one-stop-shop for fleets comprised of varying vehicles. Opening this HGV garage in Cardiff increases our capability for customers such as Wales & West Utilities, enabling us to bring the full Fleet Solutions service to them.”

Located in Coryton, the garage is easily accessed via the M4, providing easy transport links to the rural area and further afield across Wales – a factor that was important for Wales & West Utilities.

Andy Pettiford, Transport Manager at Wales & West Utilities commented: “Wales & West Utilities relies on the company to provide fleet management and maintenance across Wales and the South West of England. Cardiff is a particularly busy area for us – this workshop looks after nearly 150 of our vans and adding the new capability to look after our trucks too is great for us.”

Fleet Solutions owns and operates a network of 64 garages; nationwide it has a 500-garage network.
