Food transporter makes the case for Schmitz body03 February 2020

Food transporter NH Case has taken delivery of new rigid reefer, with the truck body built by Schmitz Cargobull.

Tony Thick, transport manager at NH Case, says: “Schmitz Cargobull’s truck bodies have the best build quality on the market. We’ve used them for two decades and we’ve always been impressed by their performance.”

The new addition’s body uses Schmitz Cargobull’s Ferroplast panels and is mounted on a 15-tonne MAN TGM 4x2 chassis cab. The vehicle is cooled by a Carrier Transicold Supra 850 undermount refrigeration system and also features an Anteo tail-lift.

The truck will operate in London’s ultra-low emission zone, delivering fresh fish and ready meals to care homes, hospitals, prisons and schools.

It is expected to remain in service for ten years, with regular maintenance carried out at NH Case’s vehicle depot in Wincanton. Additional support will be provided by Schmitz Cargobull service partner Spectra Specialist Engineering, in nearby Westbury.
