FORS delivers free staying legal courses for drivers08 December 2015

FORS (the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) has announced that 100 fully accredited DCPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) Staying Legal courses are now available to FORS-accredited truck operators free of charge.

The courses are available until 30 April 2016, the only charge being the DVSA upload fee of £8.75.

The course syllabus includes: operator licensing requirements; regulatory framework; enforcement agencies; enforcing regulations; driver offences; and industry led initiatives to reduce work related road risk (WRRR).

The Staying Legal course is designed to inform all HGV drivers of the requirements to remain compliant, when driving an HGV commercially on public roads.

It aims are to raise HGV compliance standards, along with operators’ protection of their O licence.

Staying Legal is fully DCPC accredited and amounts to a seven-hour DCPC training module, towards a driver’s graduated total.
