First, two existing parts and service dealers in Scotland have been appointed sales dealers for the light and medium-duty truck range from 3.5t to 13.5t.
In the North of Scotland, Elgin Truck & Van Centre Ltd – ETV (dealer principal: Colin Scott), will develop into a sales dealer status for both its Elgin and Inverness locations, while Dundee and the east will be covered by Norscot Truck & Van Ltd (dealer principal: Ian McGregor). Both companies joined the Isuzu network more than a year ago.
Norscot managing director George Barrack says: “As an established OEM dealer group, Norscot in Dundee will benefit from the Isuzu truck range filling a gap in the GVW sectors where we currently do not have a product offering, as well as targeting niche markets where the Isuzu’s proven payload is an important factor.”
In the Midlands, RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV) based in Northampton has also been named as a new full dealer. It offers a range of workshop and parts services, in addition to new Isuzu truck sales.
Managing director Nigel Baxter says: “We were looking to develop our Northampton dealership and the dialogue with ITUK was completed quickly and efficiently. They were really easy to work with and we see a great synergy between us in terms of operational methods. Shortly, we will be putting new Isuzu demonstrator trucks at different gvw’s into the Northampton franchise, which will enable us to develop further new customer opportunities. We will, of course, be adding new Isuzus to our own contract hire and rental operation in due course. We see ITUK as a perfect fit for our current business model.”
