Designed for use in urban or night-time operations, the Moffett M4 electric truck-mounted forklift is super-quiet, at less than 60dB.
It uses lithium-ion battery technology to power the drive motors, hydraulics and steering systems – meaning that when operational it is also totally emissions-free.
FPS undertook an extensive trial of the prototype E4, and the resulting order will be fulfilled in February next year.
“Over a three-year period, we produced detailed feedback to help develop this new electric Moffett, and felt as if our needs were really taken into consideration,” comments FPS transport manager Mark Wilson.
“The end result was a truck-mounted forklift that is capable of helping our business to evolve and adapt in line with the increasing environmental and safety-led legislation that we operate within today,” he continues.
“We were so pleased with the outcome that we decided to purchase three units.”
