Fraikin MOT Centre is win-win for Harrow Council 05 April 2016

Fleet services firm Fraikin has opened an MOT centre in partnership with Harrow Council aimed at generating revenue for the local authority but also providing residents and businesses with local vehicle test facilities.

Located at Harrow Council’s main depot and operated by Fraikin’s technicians, the joint venture provides Class IV, V and VII MOT testing, including for minibuses and vans.

It also eliminates third-party MOT testing costs for the council’s fleet of more than 200 assets, which Fraikin supplies and manages on contract hire.

“We’ve worked with Fraikin because it has always been much more than just another contract hire company,” comments Venetia Reid-Baptiste, divisional director at Harrow Council, adding that the organisation has become an integral part of managing its services.

“This time Fraikin has really gone the extra mile because, by setting up this new MOT centre, it’s not just saving us money and downtime, it’s creating an entirely new revenue stream for us that will help save taxpayer money in the Borough.”
