Freeway launches defect management app10 October 2018

Freeway Fleet Systems has announced a new defect management app, which gives workshop technicians immediate access to vehicle data, including historical records of maintenance work and parts.

As well as real-time access to documents such as parts, manuals and diagnostic sheets, the app also enables the user to identify parts related to a specific defect and can enable direct issue or request from stores.

Patrick Tandy, Freeway’s managing director, says the enhancements are in response to customer recommendations, and will ease management of tasks, compliance and workflow.

“With the arrival of Earned Recognition, operators are looking to not only switch to digital working but at the same time streamline processes and improve record accuracy. It’s all about making fleet management an easy, seamless process,” adds Tandy.

Freeway will be demonstrating its mobile apps and Earned Recognition compliance tools at the forthcoming Euro Bus Expo (NEC, Birmingham; 30 October to 1 November).
